*Bonus Blog* Grieving on Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day! From us here at HealingSheGotFaith, we sincerely and genuinely wish you a Happy Mother's Day.

Let's have a real talk today. Writing this Blog and recording the YouTube video for today tp be released was hard. I had a pre-scheduled blog ready to release, but it had nothing to do with Mother's Day. I know so many people hurting right now, and I just felt like I could not skip this opportunity to share some realness on Mother's Day.

First of all, I miss my mom. I miss that lady like crazy. This Mother's Day is hitting me differently. The second-year for me when dealing with death is always the hardest for me. This is going to be my second mother's day without that lady, and it is killing me. I have been so lazy this last week. I was not motivated. Finally, I was like, okay, what's really going on?

I had to be real with myself, and I was, "Oh, grief is kicking in." Ladies and gentlemen, when I say my body went into hibernation mode and was already preparing and my brain had not caught up until I was honest with myself. So I wanted to share with you a couple of things I want you to consider to do on this Mother's Day:

1.) Allow your body to do what it needs to do.

2.) Find a creative outlet to release those feelings and emotions

3.) Say it out loud. Whatever you are feeling. Say it out loud.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I truly encourage you to acknowledge how you feel.

This Mother's Day is dark. It's COVID-19. We are all transitioning into what is the new normal. We have to take care of ourselves and love us.

If you have a mom and you're able to celebrate somehow, then please do so! Cherish those moments. If you have a mom and she's alive, but you all do not have a relationship, please reflect on how you feel.

If your mom has passed, please try out the three tips I gave above.

If you need a community, please consider joining us at Healingshegotfaith.com and click on members and click sign-up. We are here for you. Please do not ever feel like you are alone.

As always, love you the way you love the world.

How do I grieve?
